Many people are looking for the next LinkedIn hack to reach more prospects and make more sales, but consider for a moment that you don’t need a hack. What if LinkedIn spent millions of dollars designing a tool to do help you build relationships and build your business? Do you think it would make sense to try to hack or cheat the tool, usually based on some individuals suggestions that it works better? Why not instead, play it straight and use the tools LinkedIn has given you to the best of your ability, before you worry about gaming the system.

An Inside Look At Kansas City – TravelHost

Kansas City was founded in the 1830’s as port where the Missouri River and Kansas River meet, known as West Port. Kansas City is split by the Missouri River and the state line between Kansas and Missouri. The Kansas City Metro Area includes major suburbs like Independence, Lee’s Summit, Blue Springs on the Missouri side, and Kansas City, Overland Park, Olathe in Kansas. However, most locals are referring to Kansas City, MO when referencing KC.

A Kansas City Sports Renaissance – TravelHost

Kansas City has a long history in professional sports, which has included national championships in the National Football League, Major League Baseball, and Major League Soccer. The Chiefs won the AFL title in 1962 and in 1966 when they went on to lose Super Bowl I. They won the last AFL championship in 1969 and went on to win Super Bowl IV. The Royals became the first expansion team to reach the MLB playoffs in 1976 and to reach the World Series in 1980, and finally to win the World Series in 1985 against the cross-state rival St. Louis Cardinals. The Royals did not make the playoff again until last year, reaching the World Series via a Wild Card spot in 2014. Sporting Kansas City has won the MLS Cup twice, once as the KC Wizards in 2000 and again in 2013. They have also won the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup twice in 2004 and 2012. Although, any of these teams have rarely been successful at the same time. This fall promises to be an exciting time in Kansas City Sports.

How to promote your business – July 8th @ Union Station

Learn why everyone hates salespeople and what to do about it. Most business owners and salespeople struggle with how to confidently talk about their business without turning people off, they wish there was a way to attract better and more clients without cold calling, interruptive advertising, or spamming people through email or social media. Mike Montague from Sandler Training will discuss an effective business development strategy to position yourself and your company as a trusted advisor and a value based sale, rather than just a salesperson slinging another price-based commodity. We will also cover how to hone in on your unique value proposition. You will learn how to stop wasting time and money on prospects who never buy, and how to start attractive more profitable clients that want and need your help.

Create Your Own POSITIVE Pressure to Succeed by Greg Knapp

We’ve all had great ideas that we never acted upon. We get caught up. Life happens. What might have been? What could still be? What if the next time you get a great idea you take action on it right away? What if you set a must complete by date for it? (I don’t like “deadlines.” Who wants to die?) Then work out what you have to do everyday in order to get it done by that date?
